Hand-drawn animation, shaped around the story.

I help directors, producers, brands and musicians turn an idea into a clear visual world. That can mean shaping the approach from the beginning, or joining a project once the story is already in place.

Tell me about the project

01 · Documentary and editorial animation

Show the parts a camera cannot.

Hand-drawn animation can give shape to memories, archive material, interviews and moments that were never filmed. I work with documentary teams to make those sequences feel part of the film rather than an interruption from it.

Useful for Documentaries, editorial films, historical stories, interview-led work and sensitive subjects.

02 · Brand films and campaigns

Explain the idea without looking like everyone else.

For brands with something human, complicated or slightly unusual to say. I can help find the visual approach, storyboard it clearly and carry that direction through illustration, animation and delivery.

Useful for Brand stories, campaigns, product ideas, social films and work that needs more character than a standard explainer.

03 · Music and independent films

Build a world around the feeling.

Some projects begin with a finished song or script. Others begin with a mood, a few references and no obvious route through. I help turn that into a visual idea that can hold together across a full film.

Useful for Music videos, title sequences, short films, lyric pieces and self-led projects with a strong point of view.

What I can handle

One visual thread from the first rough to the final frame.

I can take a project from a loose brief through to delivery, or work alongside an existing director and production team. The scope changes, but the aim is the same: keep the idea connected all the way through.

  • 01 Creative direction and visual development
  • 02 Storyboards, animatics and reference gathering
  • 03 Character design, environments and illustration
  • 04 Hand-drawn 2D character animation
  • 05 Compositing, edit support and final delivery

A closer look

The work behind the finished frame.

These case studies show how the idea develops through tests, roughs, storyboards and the final animation.

Got a project?

Tell me what needs solving.

You do not need a finished brief. A useful first message just needs enough for me to understand the story, where the animation will live and what a good result looks like.

A few useful things to include

  • What you are making
  • Who it is for and where it will be used
  • Approximate length and deadline
  • A realistic budget range
  • Any references or existing material
